Given :: Friends

Given :: Small Group

- This year our small group decided to adopt a family from the Salvation Army instead of doing a secret santa/white elephant/Christmas meal. Everyone was asked to give any amount (recommended $10). We sponsored a teen mother and her 2-month old son.

Given :: Secret Santa

- A good group of friends and us, 4 couples, decided to do a ‘Secret Santa’ exchange – with a twist. We decided to exchange names with guys and girls separated. The gift could be anything, it just had to recycled or handmade. So anything thrifted worked great! It was a hit – and a lot of fun! I think we’ll do it again next year.

Given :: Megan to April
- Black shirt - $5, Plato’s Closet
- Large Purse – $6, Goodwill (like new, Liz Claiborne, black, $50 retail!)
- Books - Memoirs of a Geisha, $1 at Echoe’s Thrift & Gift; Princess: True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia, $1 at Goodwill
- Winter Hat – $2, brand new, Target via Goodwill
- Homemade Granola - I made homemade granola with dried cranberries and dried bananas, a favorite combo of hers

Given :: David to Jamin
- 3 T-Shirts – A&F ‘vintage-ish’ shirt, $2, Echoes; ONE Campaign t-shirt, $1, Savers; Milwaukee t-shirt, $1, Savers
- GAP Sweater – $7, brand new, Goodwill
- Velvet Elvis Painting – $3.50, Salvation Army in Bloomington (talked em down from $5)
- Record Clock - $1.50, made by David (and I think some help from my family), the record was $.50 and we bought an old clock for $1 and took the parts out rather than buying a ‘clock kit’. We got a record with a red label, then David spray painted the hands white (instead of black) to stand out.
